Being part of their rules, the mid fielders are allowed to roam in the whole field while playing. The movement of defensemen and attackers is restricted in some way. The attackers and defensemen for instance, are required to stay on their respective side of the midfield line.
If attackers or defense men cross the midfield line in certain conditions, a foul is called. The fields for both male and female versions of the game are of the same size. A standard field is required to be 60 yards wide and 110 yards long.
