Extreme tourism is taken by adventurers who love to do extremely dangerous activities while jungle tourism is taken by those who enjoy being in a jungle and doing the possibly available activities there. The only difference between jungle tourism and adventure travel is that one is on the jungle while one is on land.
Some adventurers just enjoy the experience of being around disasters and seeing what happens, they are called disaster tourists. When people are migrating to escape a possible volcanic eruption, earthquake or riot, they will be going to the area instead. Most rescue teams at the area of the disaster find this adventure to be a nuisance it can be very dangerous sometimes and they'll have to use their funds to rescue the tourists.
Most of these occasions don't last that long, but, over-landing can last for months. Over-landing is another type of adventure travel which involves taking a long trip through out a country with a bus or a truck; sometimes the tourists can even cross countries during this type of trip.
There are geographic areas that want to save the world and want to use its resources in a sustainable way. So, Eco-tourists visit these areas to get involved in the initiatives the region people are in to make the world a sustainable area for the present and future generation.
